We had a fantastic stay at this sympathetically restored property in an amazing location. Lorraine, the property manager, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. the access to Castletown House avenue was absolutely stunning. the property had all the essentials for a comfortable stay while still showcasing its historical charm. the enclosed garden was perfect for our children to play in. There were lovely walks nearby, and we also enjoyed exploring Castletown Park. the location was great, with easy access to the train station and buses to the city centre. We also took a short drive to visit the Japanese Gardens and National Stud. it was an excellent choice for our family with 2 small kids.

The private bathroom with a bath at Castletown Gate House was amazing! It felt like our own little oasis where we could unwind and relax after a long day exploring. It had everything we needed and more, making us feel like we were in a luxurious spa. As a family, it was a real treat to have such a comforting space all to ourselves.
Honestly, there's not much to complain about, but if I had to pick one thing, I would say that the hot water took a bit longer to come through. But hey, that's just me being nitpicky.

We had a fantastic stay at Castletown Gate House. The value for money was excellent, and our room was clean and attractive with all the necessary amenities. The location was ideal, with beautiful walks in Castletown Park and easy access to the train station and city center. The staff, especially Lorraine, were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast experience better would be more variety in the food options offered.
